Gettimely is the most mature product compared here. The User Interface, Customer support, feature updates, and other aspects of the product are top-notch. The module has many reports and they are built-in. Another key aspect is the booking website which can be customized at multiple levels. MioSalon is a company based in India and the US. MioSalon is a simpler product compared to SalonIris, Ovatu, and Gettimely. The product is excel-friendly, making it easier for salons to migrate from excel sheets to salon management apps. You can upload an excel sheet containing your list of clients, products, services, into MioSalon without entering all the data manually. MioSalon’s support infrastructure is a work-in-progress.

Simplesalon is an Australian company.  They have differentiated themselves by allowing you to set benchmarks against which you can measure your sales and staff. Also, you can set KPIs. They have a rich reporting module as well.

Though they have all the essential features of a salon software, their User interface design and consequently their user experience is aged. When compared to the other software mentioned in this article, you will have a steeper learning curve with Simplesalon. If not a steeper learning curve, you will experience UI fatigue. However, if you are ready to get through that, Simplesalon is a worthy competitor to apps compared here.
